Can we talk about this? Seriously, it can’t wait. So close that internet tab full of fabulously pretty summer dresses that are way out of your price range, and minimize the window with the email you’ve been trying to write for the past half hour. Because this totally needs your attention.

It’s peanut butter. And tofu. Also a little dash of sweetener. And about a 20-second jaunt in the food processor.

But really it’s so much more than that.

It’s a creamy, thick, silky smooth mousse. It’s also incredibly and utterly peanut buttery. Need I say more?


The beauty of this recipe, I think, is that it takes less than five minutes to throw together. Just four ingredients. A press of a button. All of a sudden, what do you know, you’re ready to dip that spoon straight in the bowl for a mouthful of rich, velvety goodness.

Should you have an immediate craving for this simple, straightforward peanut butter mousse, or simply no willpower, you can delve right in and enjoy it immediately. If instead you’d like it a touch thicker, or perhaps are waiting to serve it to friends later, simple leave it in the fridge to chill for a few hours.


I imagine that for some extra indulgence or a more show-stopping presentation, a topping of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce would work perfectly.

4 Ingredient Peanut Butter Mousse

1 12.3 oz package silken firm tofu (the shelf-stable kind)

1/3 cup peanut butter

3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

optional: top with coconut whipped cream and/or chocolate sauce

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth, scraping down sides as needed. Can be served immediately, or chilled for a few hours and then served.

    I have a bit of a love affair with peanut butter but I haven’t really tried it on anything other than toast. This looks like a great recipe that I’m sure would be appreciated by both my sister and I!
